Chef's Note

A note from the Chef :


This year sales of mooncakes has been very encouraging , thanks to all who have supported us and liked our special mooncakes which are Fresh and less oil and not that sweet....


Well few more days to go , then will be the Mooncakes festival (Lunar calendar ) August 15th 2009 ... will be baking my last batch (round) of Lotus mooncakes to meet few late orders .. O ya for those who missed our Shanghai mooncakes U might be able to get to buy and try them next few days as we will be making some...


Missed out in early posting, Chong Kok Shanghai mooncakes come in mini size, we use only Pure Butter for the Crispy pastry, and wrapped the lotus dough and with a little pc of salted egg yolk at the center.... Fresh and tasty ...yummy yummy


Due to popular demand and request from Friends , this year we have Kam Tui 金腿五仁月饼 ( by order only ) . It is made of combination of mixed nuts plus Yunnan Ham.. those who have missed this year please call to place your orders next year ..
